چکیده

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) H5N1 is a major problem in poultry industry many countries. It became endemic disease Indonesia since 2003. Recently, research revealed that current circulate HPAI has switched from clades 2.1 to 2.3.2.1. To eradicate this disease, methods such as stamping out and quarantine seem not suitable applied one of main sector agricultural commodity some areas Central Java, Yogyakarta, East Java. provides large job opportunity for native people rural city areas. prevent the morbidity vaccination use local seed primarily needed. This was conducted explore isolate clade 2.3.2.1 vaccine candidate. Samples were obtained Java where outbreak occurred. Molecular characteristic according Neuraminidase (N) gene conducted. close relativity circulating virus used then processed into killed production. challenged observe protectivity on poultry. The effectivity measured through Haemagglutination Inhibition (HI) assay. result study showed DOD_3_2013 thus it Challenged test candidate induced higher antibody titer compared control. average 8.2 (log2) with protection level 100%. concluded could be around

Outbreak of H7N8 Low Pathogenic Avian Influenza in Commercial Turkeys with Spontaneous Mutation to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) subtype H7N8 was detected in commercial turkeys in January 2016. Control zone surveillance discovered a progenitor low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) virus in surrounding turkey flocks. Data analysis supports a single LPAI virus introduction followed by spontaneous mutation to HPAI on a single premises.

Optimized clade 2.3.2.1c H5N1 recombinant-vaccine strains against highly pathogenic avian influenza

A/Puerto Rico/8/34 (PR8)-derived recombinant viruses have been used for seasonal flu vaccines; however, they are insufficient for vaccines against some human-fatal H5N1 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) viruses (HPAIV) due to low productivity. Additionally, the polymerase basic 2 (PB2) protein, an important mammalian-pathogenicity determinant, of PR8 possesses several mammalian-pathogeni...

Highly pathogenic avian influenza.

Highly pathogenic (HP) avian influenza (AI) (HPAI) is an extremely contagious, multi-organ systemic disease of poultry leading to high mortality, and caused by some H5 and H7 subtypes of type A influenza virus, family Orthomyxoviridae. However, most AI virus strains are mildly pathogenic (MP) and produce either subclinical infections or respiratory and/or reproductive diseases in a variety of d...
